Fighting poverty and exclusion through social investment – A European research perspective (Policy Review)
Fighting poverty and exclusion through social investment – A European research perspective (Policy Review)
The EC's FP7-SSH Theme supported research projects dedicated to promoting social cohesion and increasing the capacities of people to make successful life transitions.
These projects examined issues pertaining to poverty and social exclusion; social investment and protection; new risks and vulnerabilities of different groups of workers (youth, women, migrants); quality of work and skills; tax and benefits policies for promoting inclusion and overall policy learning concerning what works, where and why.
This policy review presents evidence from 20 FP7 research projects and thus makes a strong contribution to the policy discussion on how the EU can promote inclusive growth via a strategy of social investment.
