Overview of the DANDELION’s Thematic Workshop "How social sciences create value for policy and society"
DANDELION workshop on „How social sciences create value for policy and society“ was held on 13th of October, 2017 in Tallinn, Estonia as a side event of the conference “European Research Excellence - Impact and Value for Society” organised in the framework of the Estonian EU Presidency.
In the DANDELION workshop the representatives of Horizon2020 projects EXCEPT and CATCH-EyoU shared valuable lessons about their dissemination activities and how to transfer research results to policy and society. The representatives of the European Commission Representation in Estonia and Citizen Initiative Portal shared their experiences about organising the communication on EU and national level and lessons from engaging citizens, particulary youth, with the help of e-participation tools.
The workshop brought together 32 participants from research, policy and civil society from all over Europe.
DANDELION Thematic Workshop
Prior to the DANDELION workshop on the 12th of October 2017, the project partners QPLAN, Civitta and University of Frankfurt had an opportunity to display and introduce the results of the DANDELION project at the main conference “European Research Excellence - Impact and Value for Society”, which aimed to demonstrate the value of top-level research as one of the main engines of growth in developed countries to create jobs, educate professionals and provide solutions for global issues.
